“Biological contamination present indoors is an area where more question marks than answers exist in relation to where this line is. Those who are involved with investigations related to indoor air quality in general, but specifically biological contamination, are faced on almost a daily basis with questions asked by worried community members such as:

  • Is it likely that the symptoms or heath effects they experience are related to biological
    contamination?
  • Whether the conditions of a specific indoor microenvironment are likely to result in biological contamination?
  • Their house/workplace was cleaned from bio-contamination. Is it really safe now?
  • How to find out what is the situation in relation to biological contamination in their house/workplace?”
